1. A bird of prey's hooked beak is its main weapon.
2. When you find a baby bird that has fallen from the nest, try to put the nestling back into the nest. But don't touch the nestling with your hands. Use a glove, towel, etc. The parent birds can smell your scent on the baby and will probably reject it.
3. Mammals aren't the only animals that produce milk for their young. Some birds do it too.
4. Some bird species reproduce by bearing their young alive, like mammals.
5. It is easy to tell the difference between male and female birds of prey most of the time. The female is usually much larger and stronger.
6. If you find a baby bird that has fallen from it's nest, you should try to feed it milk or water.
7. An Ostrich will sometimes bury its head in the sand to hide from predators.
8. Upon finding a young bird which seems to have fallen from the nest, sometimes it is best to walk away and leave the bird alone.
